Dimensions and Construction

Select Materials by Product Family
Material choices vary by product family. The groups below outline the materials we work with; confirm the material, construction and any verification requirements for each SKU.
Textiles and Fillings
Material options include plush and fleece textiles, fiber fillings and foam for soft pet products. Confirm the fabric, filling and construction for the selected item.
Plastics and TPR
Materials include PP and ABS plastics, with TPR used for selected components. Confirm the material and component specification for each product; the process boundary is reviewed separately.
Rubber and Rope
Rubber and cotton or polyester rope materials are used in the toy range. Confirm the material and construction for each design; any durability or safety claim needs product-specific evidence.
Stainless Steel and Ceramic
Stainless steel and ceramic are material options for pet bowls. Confirm the material, shape, finish and any testing requirements for the selected bowl.
Cardboard, Sisal and Selected Wood Components
These materials are used in scratching products and selected cat-play components. Specify the parts, dimensions and material requirements for the design you want to source.

Match Construction and Process Tasks to the Design
Match the construction to the product's materials and component requirements. Review which processes are performed in-house, which are outsourced and which components are purchased before approving the specification.
Cutting, Sewing and Filling
Textile cutting, sewing and filling are carried out in-house. Foam cutting and lamination are also within scope; confirm the fabric, filling and assembly details for the product.
Molding/Component Assembly
Plastic injection molding and overmolding are performed in-house. Retractable leashes use purchased components assembled in-house; confirm the component and assembly scope for the selected design.
Metal and Ceramic Component Integration
Ceramic production includes in-house forming, glazing and firing. Metal forming is outsourced. Confirm the component dimensions, finishes and any assembly requirements for the product.
Printing, Labeling and Packaging
Provide the artwork, label placement and packaging specification. Confirm the printing or decoration method and whether that step is outsourced before approving the sample or artwork.

Understand the In-house and Outsourced Process Boundary
Furrowa's production scope combines in-house manufacturing with selected outsourced processes and purchased components. Confirm the steps and components that apply to your SKU instead of assuming every operation is performed in-house.
In-House Product Production
In-house work includes textile cutting, sewing and filling, foam cutting and lamination, plastic injection molding and ceramic production. The processes used depend on the product.
Outsourced Special-Process Examples Only when Confirmed Per SKU
Outsourced work includes metal forming and selected TPR, rubber, latex, printing and surface-treatment processes. Confirm the outsourced steps for your SKU before agreeing the production plan.
Responsibility for Specification
Agree the material, dimensions, components, finish and acceptance criteria in writing. Identify any changes that require approval before sampling or production.
Evidence Requested Before Claim
Request evidence for the process, material or performance claim relevant to your SKU. Confirm that any supplied document applies to the product and requirement being discussed.
Confirm the production boundary and any outstanding specification questions before quotation.

Signed Sample or Written Approval
Use a signed sample or written approval to record the agreed product details. Resolve open changes before authorizing bulk production.
Confirm reference/sample, BOM and material, color and branding, then align the 1,000-piece starting MOQ, 7–10 day sample target and approximately 30-day bulk-production target with the approved SKU. Review Quality Control before final approval.
Write Quality and Documentation Needs into the RFQ
Include the quality criteria, documents and verification you need in the RFQ. State the relevant SKU, market and standard before quotation so inspection and third-party coordination can be reviewed.
Target-Market Requirement
List the labeling, packaging or documentation requirements for your destination market. Identify which requirements apply to each product rather than assuming one specification covers the whole order.
Test or Document Request
Specify the test or report required, the product or material concerned and the applicable standard. Confirm the requested scope before quotation.
Inspection Level
State the inspection scope, method and acceptance criteria you require. Agree which dimensions, workmanship, assembly and packaging points will be checked.
Packaging Checks

Does Furrowa manufacture every component and process in-house?
No. Furrowa manufactures the finished products in its range, with selected special processes outsourced. Retractable leashes are assembled in-house from purchased components. Confirm the production boundary for the SKU you are sourcing.
